Search Console guide

Connect Google Search Console to see which search queries bring visitors to each page, next to an estimate of the revenue they lead to.

Connect a site

  1. Open your website in the dashboard and go to Keywords.
  2. Enter your Search Console property, such as https://example.com/ or sc-domain:example.com.
  3. Click Connect Search Console and sign in with a Google account that can read that property.

AnalyticFast asks only for the read-only scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly. The refresh token is encrypted at rest and is never returned by the API. Disconnect on the same page removes the connection and the imported queries.

What you get

A daily job pulls clicks, impressions and average position for each query and page from the Search Analytics API. Google reports with a delay of about two days, so the newest days fill in over time.

Google never shares revenue. The revenue column is an estimate: AnalyticFast matches each query loosely to your own keyword and utm_term revenue, so use it to compare queries rather than as an exact figure.

Self-hosting

Create an OAuth client in Google Cloud with the redirect URI {APP_ORIGIN}/api/gsc/callback. The OAuth state is signed and expires, so a callback cannot be replayed against another site.

Questions, answered.

How do I use search console with AnalyticFast?

Follow the Search Console instructions on this page using your own website’s Site ID and configuration. Verify a real event before relying on the reports.
