Website settings and exclusions guide
Open your website, then Settings. Owners and admins can change website configuration. Viewers can read settings and manage their own email reports.
Dashboard cards
Choose whether to show insights, integration activity and bot traffic. Bot traffic is opt-in and counts only self-reported crawler requests received by the tracking endpoint. Most crawlers do not run JavaScript. These daily UTC counts are separate from human visitors, revenue and event usage, and expire after 30 days.
Reports and alerts
Reports contains your daily and weekly email digests. Alerts contains your first-payment-from-a-new-source notification. Delivery requires the operator to configure and enable email. Your choices do not subscribe other members.
Exclusions
Path, hostname and user-agent patterns drop future events. Use a star as a wildcard, not regular expressions. Country rules require an exact two-letter country code and filter historical dashboard reports as well as new visits. Records are preserved, so removing a country rule restores their visibility.
IP exclusions accept an exact IPv4 or IPv6 address, up to 20 per website. Only a site-specific keyed fingerprint is stored. The address is never shown afterward; remove a rule using its creation date. Existing fingerprints stop matching after SESSION_SECRET is rotated and must be recreated. A proxy can affect which address reaches the collector. IP exclusions do not remove past visits.
To stop counting your browser, open your website once with ?ml_ignore=true.
Security and accounts
Cookieless mode uses daily rotating visitor identifiers for new visits and disables cross-domain identity handoff. The Security section links to team access and API/MCP credentials. Account settings contains profile export and account deletion. Workspace member removal removes access without deleting the person's account. Operator user deletion is available in Admin and preserves shared-workspace ownership and billing safeguards.
Connections and imports
Search Console connects with Google and finds the property for your saved website automatically. GitHub App installation and Meta Ads login let you choose an accessible repository or ad account when those apps are configured by the operator. Connect with access token supports customer-owned credentials. Check each connection's last sync and error status. Social activity is correlation, not causal proof of revenue. Import historical Plausible data from the full site-settings export ZIP, not a chart export. See the import preview for supported metrics and date ranges.
